Host range

Iridoviruses can infect a variety of poikilothermic vertebrates and invertebrates, including many endangered animals. The host range can be queried by viral taxonomic levels, species classification, or degree of endangerment. This includes species in which iridovirus can be detected naturally and species experimentally confirmed to be infected with iridovirus. Hybrids and species without a definite scientific name are excluded. Unclassified iridoviruses are also excluded.
